New graphics are jerky on iPhone 4, OK on 4S and iPad 2/3. Less meditative than old version.

An update is being released to fix frame rate issues asap

This used to be my favorite iPad game, but I too am disappointed by the graphics in the updated version. The purple balls dont add anything new or compelling to the experience, its explosion effect seems far below the quality of the original animation set, and the game now runs slow and has sometimes freezes for a moment. Needless to say, Im bummed about the recent changes to this app.

I also just updated and now the graphics are very jerky. Please, please fix. This was my very favorite game on my iPad.

I wish the purple balls gave you a boost or some sort of advantage, but I still love the game and the music.

I gave you 5 stars with the other version, but now, I cant believe what youve done. Purple silly fur balls??? Are you insane??, the game was perfect as it was. You screw the playing experience.

Much like a few other, honest reviewers have observed, this new(est) update in a word, stinks. Once a charming, artful game, cheesiness now reigns supreme and Splode has become at once both laughable and pathetic. If you own this app and have yet to “update,” most definitely do not: “Version 1.7.1” is unworthy of occupying any amount of space on your device. The cheapened animation, degraded sound quality, etc. (again, as other reviewers unrelated to the seller, like myself, have already mentioned) were all evident within a minute. And after a quick eye roll and brief, albeit hearty LOL moment, so was the uninstalling.

An exact redesign of Chillingos "sneezies," just choppier graphics. There is also a discrepancy between the size of a splode, and its effect (or LACK of effect) on neighboring splodes. If youre going to imitate, you should do a better job than this.

I loved the original. My boyfriend and I would play it all the time. We were excited for the update but once we started to play it became less amused with the game. :( we dont play it as much and wished those purple balls would either go away or do more.

Beautiful design and lots o fun

This little casual puzzle game is deceptively simple but I was really blown away. The graphics are gorgeous and the music is serene and beautiful. It is so relaxing and simple to play but has a surprising amount of strategy involved. I was impressed with how gorgeous this game looks and I can easily be distracted but the coloration of the backgrounds as the "splodes" pop. It is so nice to look at and listen too and a blast to play! If you want a quick and easy to pick up an play puzzle game with enough of a challenge to keep you coming back for more, this is the game for you!

Ive been playing this game for over a year. The early stages are easy. The later stages are not winnable at all. Eraseing it.

Everyone enjoys this game! It is addicting!
